Horse Racing Ireland announce changes to upcoming fixtures
In order to help accommodate Racing Industry participants, Horse Racing Ireland have been forced to make some alterations to upcoming racing fixtures, these changes affecting meetings at Irish racecourses throughout May 2021. No members of the general public will be permitted to attend any racing fixtures until any announcement is made by the Irish government.
The following changes to upcoming meetings have been made:
07/05/21 – Downpatrick – changed from evening to afternoon meeting
10/05/21 – Roscommon – moved to the afternoon of Tuesday 11/05/21
14/05/21 – Leopardstown – moved from evening to afternoon meeting
15/05/21 – Wexford – moved to afternoon of Sunday 16/05/21
18/05/21 – Sligo – moved from evening to afternoon meeting
19/05/21 – Cork – moved from evening to afternoon meeting
20/05/21 – Tipperary – moved from evening to afternoon meeting
21/05/21 – Downpatrick – moved from evening to afternoon meeting
28/05/21 – Fairyhouse – Moved from evening to afternoon meeting
29/05/21 – Navan – moved to afternoon of Sunday 30/05/21
The above may at first glance seem to be arbitrary changes, however they have been made to help facilitate racecourses with maximising streaming rights income at a time when the racing industry is facing harsh challenges due to the continued Covid19 restrictions.
